Upper U.S. Midwest Organic Grain and Feedstuffs

DES MOINES - Dec 16/09 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending 12/12/09

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were mostly
steady to firm, with the exception of corn, which was lower. Low test
weights and moisture are weighing heavy on the corn market. Current
prices are based on light demand and offerings, as many producers are
waiting for a price increase. Wheat trade was at a near standstill as
demand was very light. Organic hay is being reported from $1.00-$1.05
per RFV point. Monthly and third quarter average prices are located below.
All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
