Fall Potato CropWASHINGTON - Nov 30/09 - SNS -- Fall potato production in Canada and the United States is up 2% over last year at an estimated 494 million cwt (100 pound units), according to a joint report form the USDA and Statistics Canada. The U.S. fall potato production is estimated at 392 million cwt, 3 percent higher than 2008. Canada's potato growers harvested 102 million cwt, down 1 percent from 2008.
