Rabi Seeding Starts Slower
VANCOUVER - Nov 21/09 - SNS -- Seeding of this year's rabi or winter season crops is lagging behind last year's pace as of the third week of November, according to the country's agriculture department.
Total land in grains is down 0.6% from this time last year; while land in oilseeds is down 6.1%. Unfortunately, no data was released during the week for seeding progress for pulse crops.
