CATTLE
Direct Trade:
In the direct slaughter cattle trade in the Five Major Marketing Areas,
Texas/Oklahoma; Kansas; Nebraska; Colorado; Iowa/Minnesota; not enough sales to
establish an adequate market trend. Steers: Live basis; (all Grades: 0 head).
Dressed basis; (all Grades: 203 head) 130.00-132.00, weighted average 131.16.
Heifers: Live basis; (all Grades: 110 head) 81.00. Dressed Basis; (all Grades:
42 head) 132.00.
For the week: In the Texas Panhandle live sales sold 1.00 lower. In Kansas
live sales sold 1.00 lower. In Nebraska live sales sold steady to 1.00 lower
and dressed sales sold steady to 2.00 lower. In Colorado live sales sold
steady. In Western Cornbelt live sales sold unevenly steady and dressed sales
sold steady to 2.00 lower.
