Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 29/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Pattern
A low pressure trough over Victoria will weaken and move eastwards on Sunday.  A
high pressure ridge will persist south of the State with the main high centre
lying over the eastern Bight on Sunday then crossing to the Tasman Sea later on
Monday and Tuesday. A cold front is expected to cross southern Victoria on
Wednesday.

Sunday:    Morning fog and drizzle patches in the south. Isolated showers about
the east, contracting eastwards during the day, and clearing later. A mild to
warm and partly cloudy day in the south, sunny across the north, with generally
light to moderate southerly winds.
Fire Danger: Generally high in the north. 
UV Index: 7 [High] decreasing to 5 [Moderate] under cloud.   
Monday:    Fine apart from local morning fog or drizzle in the south. Mild to
warm.
Tuesday:   Fine apart from local morning fog in the south. Generally warm.
Wednesday: Cooler change extending from the west during the day with scattered
showers, mainly in the south.

Sunday:    South to southeasterly winds around 15 knots, easing to 10 knots or
less early morning. Southerly wind of 10 to 15 knots developing in the
afternoon. Waves mostly half to 1 metre, although less than half a metre Sunday
morning.
Monday:    South to southeasterly winds at 5 to 10 knots and afternoon
seabreezes to 15 knots.
Tuesday:   East to northeast wind at 10 to 15 knots and afternoon seabreezes at
similar strength.
Wednesday: Northeasterly wind to 10 knots shifting south to southwesterly and
increasing 15 to 20 knots later.
Headline Melbourne: Becoming fine.
Headline Victoria:  Showers clearing eastwards. Morning fog or drizzle in the
