Bullish Undertaon Remains in Lentils
VANCOUVER - Nov 15/09 - SNS -- Lentil markets maintained their bullish undertone through the past week, with reds regaining some lost ground relative to greens.
Confirmation of a significant increase in U.S. output levels had no negative impact on prices because markets believe global green lentil demand may be greater than the quantity grown.
Markets for that class of lentil were helped by tough attitudes toward selling more product at this time among western Canadian growers, as well as continued demand.
