Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 28/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warnings
Nil.
Weather Pattern
A low pressure trough over Victoria will weaken and move eastwards on Sunday.  A
high pressure ridge will persist south of the State with the main high centre
lying over the eastern Bight on Sunday then crossing to the Tasman Sea later on
Monday and Tuesday.  
Victoria
Saturday:  Isolated showers on and south of the ranges becoming scattered this
afternoon about the central and eastern ranges with isolated thunderstorms. A
mild to warm and partly cloudy day. Light to moderate northeast to easterly
winds in the east, turning southeast to southerly in the west and coastal
seabreezes. 
Fire Danger:      Generally moderate to high.
UV Index: 7 [High] decreasing to 5 [Moderate] under cloud.   
Sunday:    Morning fog and drizzle patches in the south. Isolated showers about
the east with the chance of an afternoon thunderstorm or two about the far
eastern ranges. Mild to warm and partly cloudy. 
Monday:    Fine apart from morning fog and drizzle patches in the south. Mild to
warm.
Tuesday:   Fine apart from morning fog patches in the south. Generally warm
Forecast for Melbourne
Saturday
A few showers, and the risk of a thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening.
A partly cloudy day with light winds tending moderate southeasterly.

Forecast for Port Phillip and Western Port
Saturday:  Northeast to southeasterly winds mainly 10 to 15 knots, tending
southeast to southerly in the afternoon and freshening to reach 15 to 20 knots
late in the day.  Waves rising to 1 metre in the afternoon.
Sunday:    Southerly winds of 10 knots or less in the morning then seabreezes to
15 knots developing in the afternoon. Waves at half a metre rising to 1 metre
during the afternoon.
Monday:    Southeasterly winds at 10 to 15 knots and afternoon seabreezes to 15
knots.
Tuesday:   North to northeast wind at 10 to 15 knots and afternoon seabreezes at
similar strength.
Headline Melbourne: Few showers, chance thunderstorm.
Headline Victoria:  Showers on and south of ranges, isolated thunderstorms in
