IDQ1070001 WARNING SUMMARY Nil. STATE FORECAST for Friday Isolated showers and thunderstorms about the SW Gulf in the afternoon, fine over the interior with moderate NE winds. Showers about the east coast with moderate to fresh E/SE winds. Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the southern Darling Downs in the afternoon. EXTENDED OUTLOOK By Saturday, much the same apart from isolated afternoon showers only about the southern Gulf coast. Showers increasing slightly on the SE coast. SE winds increasing about the NE tropical coast. Becoming fine over the Darling Downs on Sunday with early showers about the SE coast. Decreasing showers about the Gulf coast. SE winds close to strong wind conditions on the NE tropical coast. By Monday, hot and dry over the interior with N'ly winds. Maximum temperatures close to 40C in the far west. Showers start to decrease about the east coast. By Tuesday, a new surface trough enters the far SW with no weather. Rather hot across the interior, southern QLD, Darling Downs and the SE coast. The trough reaching the SE part of the state on Wednesday with late thunderstorms. --- STAT News Service
