MELBOURNE - Oct 28/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
IDQ1070001 WARNING SUMMARY Nil. STATE FORECAST for Thursday Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the interior, increasing over western parts. Isolated afternoon showers over eastern and northern districts. Moderate NE/SE winds. Isolated showers about the east coast with freshening E'ly winds. Fine in the far west of the state. EXTENDED OUTLOOK By Friday, the upper level low causing the thunderstorm activity in the west has weakened and fine weather returns to the interior. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will persist about the southern Darling Downs and isolated showers continue about the east coast. By Saturday, much the same apart from thunderstorm activity reaching the SE coast. For Sunday, becoming hot in the west with N'ly winds. Showers and thunderstorms over the southern Darling Downs
