Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Mar 27/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warnings Nil. Weather Pattern A ridge of high pressure will persist south of Victoria over the weekend and a low pressure trough will continue over northern Victoria. A cold front will move south of the Bight on Saturday but will weaken as it approaches Victoria on Sunday. On Monday a low pressure system will move to the southeast of Tasmania. Victoria Friday: Fog and drizzle patches in the south, clearing by the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms developing about the eastern ranges in the afternoon. Fine elsewhere. A mild to warm and partly cloudy day with light to moderate south to southeast winds, tending more easterly over eastern districts. Fire Danger: Generally moderate to high. UV Index: 7 [High] decreasing to 5 [Moderate] under cloud. Saturday: Fine apart from morning fogs in the south and isolated afternoon thunderstorms about the central and eastern ranges. Mild to warm.
