Birdseeds Rise on Grower Holding
VANCOUVER - Oct 25/09 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets record a generally firmer finish on North American markets during the past week.
While oil-type sunflower values ended the week off slightly, markets for white proso seed millet and canaryseed advanced. Grower selling interest remains a key factor in many of the specialty crop markets.
Since they have money from other crops, they do not feel a need to chase markets to make sales, affecting a wide range of crops.
