Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 25/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Pattern
A ridge of high pressure will lie south of the State over the next few days,
strengthening south of Tasmania on Friday. A weak low pressure trough over
central to eastern Victoria will persist for the rest of the week.

Wednesday: Fine. A warm and mainly sunny day inland with light wind but milder
seabreezes developing along the coast.
Fire Danger:     High to very high in the north.
UV Index: 7 [High] decreasing to 4 [Moderate] under cloud   
Thursday:  Local morning fog in the south with coastal drizzle. Isolated
afternoon thunderstorms about the eastern ranges. Mild to warm.
Friday:    Local morning fog in the south with coastal drizzle. Isolated
afternoon thunderstorms about the eastern ranges. Mild to warm.
Saturday:  Isolated showers and drizzle in the south. Isolated afternoon
thunderstorms about the eastern ranges. Mild to warm.

Fine. A mostly sunny afternoon with seabreezes gradually developing.

Thursday:  Variable winds to 10 knots tending southeasterly and freshening to 15
to 20 knots with afternoon seabreezes. Waves around half a metre, increasing to
1 metre during the afternoon
Friday:    Southeasterly winds around 10 knots and afternoon seabreezes to 20
knots.
Saturday:  Southeasterly winds around 10 knots and afternoon seabreezes to 20
knots.
