Lentil markets VolatileVANCOUVER - Oct 4/09 - SNS -- International lentil markets maintained their volatile tone during the past week, with prices moving rapidly on relative buying and selling interest by growers and end users. Canada's latest crop production estimates made little impact on markets, even though the trade continues to be divided over the actual size of this year's harvest. Some market participants expect to see a substantial increase in the final crop report in December; while other's believe the average yields reported by Statistics Canada are close to their overall experience.
