WARNING SUMMARY
A strong wind warning has been issued for southern Gulf waters for Monday
morning.
STATE FORECAST
for the rest of Sunday and Monday
Patchy light rain over the northern tropics, dry over the remainder of the state
apart from isolated showers developing about the SE coast this afternoon.
Mostly light to moderate SW to SE winds through the state. High to very high
fire danger most areas.
EXTENDED OUTLOOK
Over the next few days little change in the weather pattern. Isolated afternoon
showers over the interior of Cape York Peninsula, isolated showers developing
about most of the east coast as SE winds develop. Dry over the interior. A
trough will develop over the interior as a higher level trough approaches Qld
from the west on Tuesday. This will lead to showers and thunderstorms over the
