USDA Buys 580 MT Beans
KANSAS CITY - Sep 23/09 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 580 metric tons (MT) of dark red kidney beans for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 099C, the USDA is buying the pulses packed in 50 kg bags. Purchases are for shipment from interior plants between October 16 to November 6 and between November 7 to November 28 for plants located at port.
