Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 22/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warnings
Nil.
Weather Pattern
A low pressure system just east of Tasmania will initially move slowly
northwards then move southeastwards over the Tasman Sea early next week. A high
pressure system south of the Bight will continue moving steadily eastwards,
passing south of Tasmania during Sunday night. Another high pressure system will
then develop near Tasmania by Wednesday.    
Victoria
Tonight and Sunday: Isolated showers in the southwest, scattered in the
southeast, but easing from the west during the day. Fine on the northern plains.
Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north with light to moderate
southwest to southeast winds, fresh along the coast in the afternoon.
Fire Danger: High in the north, locally high in the south.
UV Index: 8 [Very high] decreasing to 2 [low] under cloud.  
Monday:    Early fog patches. Showers in the southeast clearing. Mild to warm.
Tuesday:   Fine apart from local morning fogs in the south. Mild to warm.
Wednesday: Fine apart from local morning fogs in the south. Mild to warm.

Tonight and Sunday
A few showers tonight and tomorrow morning. Cool with mainly moderate southwest
to southerly wind tending more southeasterly during the day.

knots during the afternoon. Waves of one to one and a half metres. 
Monday:    Southeasterly wind of 10 to 15 knots and afternoon seabreezes to 20
knots.
Tuesday:   Southeasterly wind around 10 knots and afternoon seabreezes to 20
knots.
Wednesday: East to southeasterly wind 10 to 15 knots and afternoon seabreezes to
20 knots.
Headline Melbourne: Showers easing.
