Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens, except
California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second head and
brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were uneven in south and steady in
California this week. By-products were uneven in the south and steady
in California.
In the south, long grain rice price quotes were steady, quoted mostly at
23.50-24.00; medium grain prices were steady to 9.00 lower as new crop pricing
is fazing in, quoted mostly at 31.50-33.00; parboiled quotes were steady to
instances 1.00 higher, quoted mostly at 27.50-28.00; second heads were steady to
instances 1.00 higher, quoted mostly at 18.00-19.00; brewers were uneven, quoted
mostly at 15.50-17.00. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were steady to
5.00 higher; millfeed was uneven in a very lightly tested trade; hulls were
steady to 2.00 higher in a lightly tested trade.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady; short grain
prices were steady; second heads were steady; brewers were steady. Rice bran was
steady, hulls were steady.
