SPRINGFIELD - Aug 26/09 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the eastern cornbelt in the United States.

Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 8/22/2009

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were
mostly steady.  Demand and offerings were light to moderate.  Buying
interest continued to move slowly as favorable weather conditions are
greening up pastures and crops.  However, most of the cornbelt has
experienced plenty of moisture this summer which has produced some
poor quality of wheat.  Confirm cases of wheat effected with vomitoxin
and sprotting has spread throughout the eastern states.

All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
