USDA Buys 460 MT Beans
KANSAS CITY - Aug 21/09 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 460 metric tons (MT) of great northern beans for prepositioning at U.S. Gulf ports for eventual shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 089A, the pulses packed in 50 kg bags were bought for shipment to Jacintoport Terminal no later than September 18.
