MELBOURNE - Aug 5/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

WARNING SUMMARY
Nil
STATE FORECAST
for Thursday
Isolated showers about NE tropical coast and very isolated showers about exposed

Dry over the interior. Mostly light SE to NE winds, tending moderate to fresh SE
about the central and north tropical coast.
EXTENDED OUTLOOK
By Friday, a new surface trough will sweep across western districts to the east
with dust haze but no precipitation. Nil change in weather about the east coast.
Early frost now limited to the Granite Belt.
By Saturday, the trough has cleared the SE coast but starts to clear the
central coast. Some early fog on the central coast, isolated showers about the
NE tropical coast. Early frost now redeveloping in the southern Central

By Sunday, the easterly trough offshore intensifies into a depression and
maintains the strong SW winds off the Gold Coast. The colder, drier conditions
over the southern interior will lead to early frost out into the Warrego, the
southern half of the Central Highlands and parts of the Capricornia, Burnett and
the SE coast. Showers contracting north in the tropics while dry conditions
