Australia -- Victoria Weather Update
MELBOURNE - Mar 16/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warnings A strong wind warning is current for Victorian coastal waters east of Wilsons Promontory. Weather Pattern A high pressure system will move over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A cold front will approach Victoria on Tuesday and move across the State on Wednesday leaving an unstable west to southwest airflow over the State on Thursday. Victoria Monday: Fine except for early morning fog patches in the south. A warm to hot and mainly sunny day with chiefly light to moderate northeast to northerly wind but tempered about the coast with afternoon seabreezes. Fire Danger: High to very high UV Index: 9 [very high] Tuesday: Fine. Hot and mainly sunny. Fresh to strong northerly wind. Wednesday: Showers extending to east with cool change. Hail and thunder mainly near coast. Thursday: Showers mainly on and south of ranges. Hail and thunder mainly near coast. Cool to cold wind. IDV10450 Forecast for Melbourne Monday Fine except for early morning fog patches. A sunny day with a moderate to locally fresh northerly wind and afternoon and evening seabreezes. Max 33 Tuesday Fine. Windy. Min 20 Max 35 Wednesday Showers. Windy with cool change. Min 19 Max 20 Thursday Showers. Windy. Min 13 Max 17 Trend for Friday, Saturday and Sunday Showers clearing.
