Stronger Finish For Field Peas
VANCOUVER - Jul 27/09 - SNS -- Canadian field pea markets strengthened considerably during the past fortnight.
Export markets are being forced to higher by the steady rise in the value of the Canadian dollar and the perceived need to boost new crop bids to growers to maintain opening season selling interest.
Strong differences of opinion continue to exist between traders, with some looking at the problems which have plagued the growing season and the risk of more weather problems before harvest is complete as a basis for increasing asking prices.
