USDA Buys 18,240 MT of Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Jul 8/09 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 18,240 metric tons (MT) of pulses for prepositioning at U.S. Gulf ports for eventual shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 079A, the pulses packed in 50 kg bags were bought for shipment from interior plants between August 1 to August 22 and between August 23 to September 13 for plants located at port.
