Warning Summary at issue time Gale warning for Victorian waters between Cape Schanck and 60nm east of Gabo Island. Strong wind warning for Victorian waters between SA-VIC Border and Cape Schanck. Strong wind warning is current for Port Phillip. Strong wind warning is current for Western Port. Strong wind warning is current for Gippsland Lakes. Weather Situation A cold front is crossing Bass Strait and a slow-moving high pressure system is over the Bight. Another cold front will affect southern Victoria during Monday before the high moves over southeastern Australia on Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of Saturday Scattered showers on and south of the divide. Mostly fine over the northern plains with isolated possible showers. Alpine snowfalls above 1200m. Cold with generally fresh to strong southwest winds. Forecast for Sunday Scattered showers on and south of the ranges becoming isolated in the west. Possible hail in the southeast later. Snowfalls above 1200 metres. Fresh to strong south to southwest winds. Forecast for Monday Widespread morning frost in the north and west. Isolated showers on and south of the ranges, more widespread in Gippsland with local hail. Showers falling as snow above 1000 metres. Moderate south to southwest winds becoming light. Forecast for Tuesday Widespread morning frost and local fog. Showers in the south, mainly over Gippsland with local hail, contracting east and later clearing, Showers falling as snow above 1000 metres. Generally light winds. Forecast for Wednesday Widespread morning frost and local fog then a fine day although isolated showers developing in the southwest later. Cool with chiefly light winds.
