U.S. Oat Stocks Jump 26%WASHINGTON - Jun 30/09 - SNS -- Oats stored in all positions in the United States on June 1, 2009 totaled 84.1 million bushels, 26% above the stocks on June 1, 2008, according to the USDA. Of the total stocks on hand, 17.5 million bushels are stored on farms, 9% higher than a year ago. Off-farm stocks totaled 66.7 million bushels, 32% above the previous year. Indicated disappearance during March - May 2009 totaled 11.3 million bushels, compared with 12.2 million bushels during the same period a year ago.
