Major Cut in Proso Millet Area
WASHINGTON - Jun 30/09 - SNS -- Proso millet planted area for 2009 totaled 405,000 acres, down 22% from last year's total of 520,000 acres, according to the USDA's preliminary seeded estimates for the year.
An increase in proso millet planted area in South Dakota was more than offset by decreases in Colorado and Nebraska.
