Steady Consumer Demand for BeansVANCOUVER - Jun 27/09 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were unchanged to firmer against steady demand for Chinese origin beans, but limited interest in North American product from export or domestic users. The U.S. grower index finished the week unchanged at 1016, versus 1208 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 81.4%, unchanged from last week and compared to 77.7% at this time last year. The U.S. spot market index for dry edible bean finished the week at 1116, unchanged from the previous week and compared to 1392 at this time last year.
