Continued Drop in Fruit InventoryWASHINGTON - Jun 22/09 - SNS -- Frozen fruit supplies dropped 4 million pounds in May to finish the month at almost 914 million pounds, up 74 million pounds from the previous year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Inventories of frozen juice rose 2% from the previous year and were 3% higher than the previous month at 1,829 million pounds. Fresh apples stocks finished the month at 1,462 million pounds, up 47% from last year, and down 628 million pounds from the previous month.
