United States Sugar Output LoweredWASHINGTON - Mar 11/03 - SNS -- Projected U.S. sugar production for fiscal year 2002-03 was decreased 75,000 short tons, raw value, from last month, in the latest USDA outlook report. Beet sugar production is reduced 85,000 tons because of a revision to preliminary sugar extraction data for December 2002. Cane sugar production in Hawaii and Texas is increased 10,000 tons, based on industry reports. The ending stocks-to-use ratio is 13.7%, compared with 14.6% last month.
