Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 20/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time:
Strong Wind Warning south of Crowdy Head. Flood Warnings for the Paroo River and
the Orara River.
For the latest warning information please check the Bureau's web site
www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A strengthening High lies over the southern Tasman Sea while a deep low pressure
trough is over South Australia. The High will direct a humid north to
northeasterly flow over NSW for the next few days, and this, along with a series
of weak fronts associated with the trough, will produce showery weather over
much of the state through into early next week, particularly in the east. The
High is expected to weaken on Tuesday or Wednesday, allowing the trough to move
eastwards and the weather over NSW to gradually clear.
Forecast for Sunday
Showers over the eastern half, possibly heavy at times along the coast. Cloud
over the remaining inland with some light patchy rain or isolated showers
possible. Moderate north to northeast winds, fresh on the coast. Dangerous surf
conditions on the north coast.
Forecast for Monday
Showers over the eastern half, tending to rain in northeast and possibly heavy
at times along the north coast. Cloud over the remaining inland with some light
patchy rain clearing from northwest. Northwest to northeast winds.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers in the northeast, tending scattered on the north coast. Light
rain or isolated showers developing in the southwest. Fine remainder. Northwest
to northeast winds.
Forecast for Wednesday
Fine apart from isolated showers over southeastern inland. Northwesterly winds,
tending light and variable in the north.
