Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 10/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warnings
A strong wind warning is current for Victorian coastal waters east of Cape
Otway.
Weather Pattern
A high pressure system south of Tasmania will move slowly northeastwards across
the Tasman Sea over the next few days. A weak cold front will approach Victoria
on Wednesday, reaching the southwest at night then extending across the State on
Thursday. A high pressure will approach from the Bight on Friday.   
Victoria
Tuesday:   A few showers in the far east, clearing. Drizzle patches and morning
fog in the south clearing to a fine, mild to warm day. Light to moderate east to
southeast winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.
UV Index: 8 [very high] decreasing to 4 [moderate] under cloud. 
Wednesday: Morning fog patches in the south, otherwise fine. Warm to hot.
Thursday:  Isolated showers on and south of the ranges. Cooler in the south.
Mild to warm in the north.
Friday:    Drizzle patches in the south. Fine in the north. Cool to mild.

moderate easterly wind and an afternoon seabreeze.

Tuesday:   Southeast to easterly wind of 15 to 20 easing to 10 to 15 knots early
morning and afternoon seabreezes to about 15 knots. Waves  0.5 to 1 metre.
Wednesday: Northeast to northerly wind of 10 to 15 knots. Afternoon seabreezes
to 15 knots.
Thursday:  North to northwest wind of 10 to 15 knots shifting southwesterly at
15 to 20 knots.
Friday:    Southwest to southerly wind of 10 to 15 knots.
