Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars
per cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady in south and steady
in California this week. By-products were steady to lower in the south and
steady in California.
In the south, long grain rice price quotes were steady, quoted mostly at
24.00-26.00; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 44.50-45.00;
parboiled quotes were steady, quoted mostly at 27.00-29.00; second heads were
steady; brewers were steady to 75 cents lower, quoted mostly at 16.75-17.50.
Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were steady to instances 5.00 lower;
millfeed was steady to 5.00 lower in a very lightly tested trade; hulls were
steady in a lightly tested trade.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
at 51.00-55.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were 4.00-7.00
lower; brewers were 1.00-3.00 lower. Rice bran was steady; rice hulls were
steady.
