Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 7/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Pattern
A low pressure trough and cold front will move into eastern Victoria on Saturday
morning with a low centre forming east of Bass Strait later Saturday. A high
pressure system will develop south of the Bight by Saturday and then move slowly
eastwards, crossing Tasmania during Monday night. 
Victoria
Saturday:  Showers over southern and mountain districts tending to rain in the
east during the day. Isolated thunderstorms in the east, mainly afternoon and
evening. Fine in the northwest. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds. 
Fire Danger: Generally high rising to very high in the north
UV Index: 10 [very high] decreasing to 2 [low] under cloud. 
Sunday:    Showers in southern and mountain districts becoming isolated in the
west. Fine in the north. Cool to mild in the south. Mild to warm in the north. 
Monday:    Fine apart from isolated morning showers or drizzle near the coast.
Mild to warm.
Tuesday:   Fine apart from fog patches in the south and early drizzle in
Gippsland. Mild to warm.

during the afternoon.
Tuesday:   Southeast to easterly wind and afternoon seabreezes to about 15
knots.
