MELBOURNE - May 13/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
IDQ1070001 WARNING SUMMARY Nil. STATE FORECAST for Thursday Isolated showers east of about Normanton to Clermont to Warwick, with possible thunderstorms in SE districts. Fine elsewhere. Generally Light to moderate SE to NE winds. EXTENDED OUTLOOK Dry air will push northwards through southern Queensland on Friday due to a ridge extending from a high in the Bight. This will contract showers to the northern tropics during Friday, and continuing into the weekend. Fine and dry in the south, with cool nights and frosts about the southern inland. In the longer term global computer models indicate the formation of an upper level trough over central Australia during Sunday and Monday will again produce
