STATE FORECAST for Wednesday night and Thursday Isolated showers through eastern, central and northwest districts of the state, mostly during the afternoon and evenings. Showers becoming scattered with patchy light rain about the central coast and surrounds. Afternoon showers clearing from the south on Thursday, with isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the southeast. Fine in the far west. Light frost areas about the Granite Belt. Light to moderate SE to NE winds. EXTENDED OUTLOOK Dry air will push northwards through southern Queensland on Friday due to a ridge extending from a high in the Bight.
