Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - May 12/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warning Summary at issue time: Nil. For the latest warning information please check the Bureau's web site www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw Current Weather Situation and Future Developments: A strong, slow-moving high pressure system west of the Bight extends a ridge across western and northeastern New South Wales bringing mostly fine weather conditions. A few cold fronts are expected to move through the far south of the state over the next few days bringing isolated showers to the southeastern inland and increasing westerly winds to southeastern parts of the state. Forecast for Wednesday Fine apart from isolated showers developing in the afternoon over the far southern inland. Early frost and fog patches on the slopes and ranges and coast. Light to moderate west to southwest winds with local seabreezes on the north coast. Forecast for Thursday Isolated showers along the western slopes of the southern ranges. Mostly fine over the remainder. Early frosts about the ranges, chiefly in the north. West to southwest winds freshening in the southeast. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers in the southeastern inland. Fine elsewhere. Isolated frost patches on the northern ranges. Westerly winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the south.
