French Field Pea Exports Rise in March
VANCOUVER - May 11/09 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France rose in March, but shipments were well short of las year with the result this season's increase in total export activity so far in 2008-09 dropped from 25% to around 17%.
Data from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed exporters shipped 14,095 metric tons (MT) of peas in March, up from the 11,250 MT in February and 39% less than the 23,000 MT of field peas shipped the same month last year.
