Easier Tone In Edible BeansVANCOUVER - May 1/09 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets continued to exhibit a mixed to weaker tone during the past week. The U.S. grower index finished the week unchanged at 990, versus 1149 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 83%, up 0.8 points from last week and compared to 77.6% at this time last year. The U.S. spot market index for dry edible bean finished the week at 1067, down 11 points from the previous week and compared to 1325 last year.
