VANCOUVER - May 1/09 - SNS -- International field pea markets ended the week's trading on a slightly firmer note, helped by steady movement of product from North American processors to export shipping positions.
Canadian bulk conventional field pea exports pulled well ahead of last during the April, with export shippers indicating movement would remain strong through at least the end of May.
Market participants will be paying close attention to next week's stocks in all positions report from Statistics Canada for a sense of the supply situation they will face during the balance of the marketing year.
