Weather Pattern A weak cold front will cross Bass Strait later today. A high pressure system south of Western Australia will move steadily eastwards over the next few days, reaching the Tasman Sea during Thursday. A low pressure trough will develop over Victoria on Friday. Victoria Tuesday: Showers and drizzle patches in the south, mainly during the late morning and early afternoon, then again tonight. A little patchy rain about the far northwest. Generally mild and mostly cloudy with light to moderate southwest to southerly wind and coastal seabreezes. Fire Danger: Moderate to high UV Index: 9 [very high] decreasing to 3 [moderate] under cloud. Wednesday: Fine apart from morning showers or drizzle in the south. Mild to warm.
