Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 28/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A few coastal showers are expected later today and tomorrow as an upper level
trough crosses eastern NSW and a weak surface trough develops along the coast.
Isolated coastal showers are also possible over the weekend with the passage of
a relatively weak front, otherwise a broad high pressure ridge will remain
across NSW for the next few days with generally fine conditions and cold nights.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers developing along the coast and adjacent ranges, particularly
central and northern parts. Fine elsewhere. Light to moderate southwest to
southeast winds. Dangerous surf conditions developing on the southern and
central parts of the coast.
Forecast for Thursday
Scattered showers about central parts of the coast, easing. Isolated showers
along the remainder of the coast. Fine elsewhere. Early frost patches about the
ranges, particularly in the south. Light to moderate southwest to southeast
winds, locally fresh along the coast.
Forecast for Friday
Fine apart from the isolated showers in the far southeast and on the north
coast. Early frost and fog patches in the east. Southwest to southeast winds.
Forecast for Saturday
Fine apart from the isolated showers along the coastal fringe. Early frost
patches about the ranges. Southwest to southeast winds.
