Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 28/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

for the period until midnight EST Saturday 2 May 2009.
Warning Summary at issue time
Frost warning for the Northern Country, Western, North Central, West and South
Gippsland and Northeast forecast districts.
Details of warnings are available on the Bureau's website www.bom.gov.au, by
telephone 1300-659-217* or through some TV and radio broadcasts.
Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge will move across Victoria today. A weakening cold front
will brush southwestern Victoria tonight then another weak cold front will
cross the State on Friday. A large high pressure system will move over Bight
waters on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday
Morning frost areas in the south. A generally fine and cool to mild day
although isolated light showers in the southeast and developing in the
southwest. Areas of high cloud and generally light wind.
Forecast for Thursday
Morning frost patches inland. Isolated showers in the southwest, otherwise
fine. Cool with mainly sunny conditions in the north and east but partly cloudy
in the west. Light to moderate northwesterly wind, freshening in the southwest.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated showers developing on and south of the divide and becoming scattered
about the coast. Local early frost inland. A cool day, mostly cloudy in the
south. Mainly moderate northwest wind turning west to southwesterly.
Forecast for Saturday
Isolated showers near the coast, otherwise dry. Isolated morning frost in the
northeast. Cool with light to moderate southwest wind.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.
