Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 2/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Pattern
A high pressure system south of Western Australia will move slowly eastwards
over the next few days.  A cold front will move through Bass Strait later
Tuesday before the high reaches the Tasman Sea on Thursday.  
Victoria
Monday:    Cool to mild and partly cloudy in the south with isolated showers
near the coast mostly clearing during the day. Fine, mild and mostly sunny in
the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.
Fire Danger: Moderate to high. 
UV Index: 10 [very high] decreasing to 4 [moderate] under cloud.
Tuesday:   Fine apart from isolated showers and drizzle developing near the
coast late in the day. Mild to warm. 
Wednesday: Fine apart from isolated coastal showers or drizzle at first. Mild to
warm.
Thursday:  Fine apart from morning fog patches in the south. Warm inland. Milder
near the coast.

southerly at 15 knots late in the day. Local afternoon seabreezes to 15 knots.

Wednesday: South to southeasterly winds around 10 knots and afternoon seabreezes
of 15 to 20 knots.
Thursday:  East to northeasterly winds of 10 to 15 knots. Afternoon seabreezes
