Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 23/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time:
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters south of Ulladulla.

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
During Friday a cold front will move through New South Wales bringing
patchy rain to the west and southeast of the state. Another cold
front with an associated low to the south will move across the west
of the state on Saturday.  On Sunday as the front moves over the
southeast the low will deepen significantly before moving over the
southwestern Tasman Sea early Monday.  The front is expected to bring
windy and cooler conditions and  precipitation to the southern half
of the state.
Forecast for Friday
Fine in the northeast. Patchy rain developing in the  west and
extending to the south and central coasts later. The chance of
thunderstorms in the southern inland. North to northwest winds
freshening in the west ahead of gusty westerly change.
Fire danger: Very High in the Upper Western.
Forecast for Saturday
Rain redeveloping over the southern inland. Fine elsewhere  apart
from early showers on the southern and central coasts. Northwest
winds freshening ahead of a gusty west to southwest change in the
west, Possible raised dust in the west. Dangerous surf conditions on
south and central parts of the coast.
Forecast for Sunday
Showers and rain periods in the southern and central parts of the
state clearing from the west later, possible snow on the Alps. The
chance of thunderstorms over the southern inland. Mostly fine in the
north. Areas of raised dust in the west. Gusty northwest to southwest
winds.
Forecast for Monday
Isolated showers over the southern inland. Fine elsewhere. Cold night
and early frost patches on the ranges. West to southwest winds, gusty
over the southern ranges.
