Canola Crush Maintains Record Pace
OTTAWA - Apr 23/09 - SNS -- For the seventh month in a row, Canada's oilseed processors posted a monthly crush record.
During March, they processing 386,368 metric tons (MT) of canola, besting the previous single month record by just roughly 3.2%, according to Statistics Canada.
Oil production totalled 167 960 MT in March while meal production amounted to 223 704 MT.
