Weather Situation A high pressure system over South Australia will drift towards western Victoria today. A cold front will pass over Tasmania on Saturday as the high pressure system moves south to be west of Bass Strait Saturday night. The high pressure system will then move south of Tasmania on Sunday and then southeast of Tasmania on Monday. Forecast for the rest of Friday Isolated showers on and south of the ranges but fine over East Gippsland. Fine in north after early isolated light showers in the west. Cool to mild and partly cloudy. Light to moderate west to southwest winds. Maximum Fire Danger: Locally high in north. Forecast for Saturday Isolated showers or drizzle near the coast, extending to south of the ranges in the afternoon. A cool to mild day with generally light to moderate southerly winds developing. Forecast for Sunday Partly cloudy with isolated showers south of the ranges. Remaining fine and mostly sunny over the northern plains. A cool to mild day with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds. Forecast for Monday Isolated showers and drizzle in the south gradually contracting southeastwards as light to moderate southeast wind tends more easterly. Fine elsewhere.
