MELBOURNE - Apr 16/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

For the latest warning information please check the Bureau's web site www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw Current Weather Situation and Future Developments: A ridge of high pressure over New South Wales will maintain dry and stable conditions in most districts tonight and tomorrow. A deepening low over the Tasman Sea in conjunction with a high near Tasmania is expected to bring a southeast airstream and some shower activity to the coast and adjacent ranges over the weekend and into next week. Forecast for Friday Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the northeast corner. Fine elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds. Forecast for Saturday Isolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. South to southeast winds. Forecast for Sunday Isolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges.
