Showers and thunderstorms are expected ahead of and near the front/trough. Behind the front a strong high pressure system will extend a ridge across the west and southeast of the state bringing dry and stable conditions there. Forecast for Saturday Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the northeast, possible local moderate to heavy falls. Isolated showers on the south and central coasts. Fine for the remainder. Southwest to southeast winds extending throughout, strong along the coast. Forecast for Sunday Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the northeast. Mostly fine in the remainder. South to southeast winds. Forecast for Monday Scattered showers in the northeast with the chance of thunderstorms on the North West Slopes and Plains.
