UPDATED Warnings A Severe Thunderstorm Advice is current for the Northeast, Alpine and Gippsland Districts until 9.30pm. A strong wind warning is current for Victorian coastal waters east of Point Hicks. Weather Pattern A low pressure trough over Victoria is moving eastwards. A cold front will move across Victoria later today and Friday, establishing a cooler southwesterly flow for the weekend. A high pressure system will move into the Bight at the start of next week. Victoria Tonight and Friday: Rain and local thunderstorms over eastern districts contracting east and clearing Friday morning. Scattered showers to follow, occurring mostly over southern and mountain districts. A cool to mild day with a moderate to fresh west to southwesterly wind.
