Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 27/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. For Friday WARNINGS: A Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters south of Port Macquarie. STATE FORECAST High to Very High Fire danger inland. Isolated showers on the far north coast. Showers and isolated thunderstorms, extending from the northwest to the southeast inland; and contracting through central areas with a change. Isolated showers persisting about the southern and western slopes after the change. Very warm to hot ahead of the change, turning cool in the south later. Moderate northeast to northwest winds, strengthening on the coast and ahead of a change in the southeast. A fresh and gusty south to southwest change over the inland, extending through central areas by evening. HEADLINE: Showers and storms inland and SE, contracting through central areas with a fresh and gusty SW change. Very warm to hot ahead of the change. Outlook for Saturday Showers and thunderstorms with a cooler gusty S/SW change moving through the NE.
